An update?! [Feb. 7th, 2007|04:58 pm]
tiiinathepirate
I'm going to Korea! My brother bought me a ticket to his wedding and so I'm going, going, gone. We're stopping in Japan for an hour, I guess. I'm v. amused that the first foreign country that I'm visiting, if only for an hour, is one that I have very little interest in b/c of all the japanophilles in my life. I'll really have to work on my Korean before I go, though. I don't think only knowing how to ask how people are doing will work out well for me.

While exciting, it's created a bit of a predicament for me. Rodney got accepted to a japanese foreign exchange program. He's leaving about the same time that I'm leaving (although coming back much later. pu-pu-pu.). This leaves my darling Mog-pog all alone! I have to figure out someone to watch her and, to be honest, I have no idea who to ask. I don't trust any of the people I know around here with her. They're all nice enough, but it's Moggy! She's never lived with any humans other than Rodney and I. When I went home for Christmas, Kayla told me that Mog would wander around looking for me crying. That was only four days. This is ..um...15? A lot! Maybe I can convince someone NOT from the area to apartment/mogster sit. Hmm.

Since Rodney's leaving for six months, I'm also suddenly roommate-less. Crap! What'll I do? Anyone know a v. clean individual that's not a fan of illegal activites and has a steady job that lives in/plans on living in the Lansing area around May or June?

Also, I found a kind of neat website. pandora.com is a site where you enter a musician or a song that you like and they play songs that are similar. Then, you say if you like their suggested songs and then, based on that, they suggest more. You can even add multiple artists for them to work from. Also, it's free! Neat! So far, it's treating me v. well. They even know who jump, little children are

Wow it's Tina!

I might be leaving Michigan with in the year to go to the Brooks institute of Photography. They're so expensive, but they're very much worth it. I've talked to a admissions lady on the telephone twice (and I'm going to again today!) She's very interested in me. California seems like an un-Tina place to live, buuuut it's the Brooks Institute of Photography (!) I'm very excited.

Life in Lansing is lovely. Rodney and I living together is working out rather well. There's a problem with the sinks, but other than that the apartment is wonderful. I think I'm beneath the poverty level, but I'm happy so it doesn't really matter.

I'm not attending MSU for multiple reasons, but LCC is fine. Any credits I'd have taken at MSU would have been a waste of my money because they won't transfer to Brooks. The LCC ones won't either, but they're cheap and they're interesting classes. This way I can continue learning while in a transition period without spending any of my own money. Scholarships!

I'm learning french. It's easier to read than German, but harder to say.
um.
that's all.

I hope all is treating you well.

BABIES! [May. 20th, 2006|09:58 pm]

I hate babies! They're weird and loud and smelly!
But Nick and Kayla had theirs! And it's cute and quiet and notsosmelly! And it's face is all "I'm-so-cute!" and it's body is all: "I'm-so-small!" and I'm all "eeee ^___^"

World: Hello Pheonix!

Also: we hit a deer and it's the first living thing I've seen die. ACTUALLY: It didn't die when I was there. The police or someone killed it after we left. But it made my eyes water. Shutup. It also shit all over the side of the car.

World: Goodbye Deer!

Ah, livejournal. I've been ignoring you again, haven't I? My dearest apologies.

Finished of the semester with grades that are decent. I could have done much better, but the period where I wasn't sleeping really gave my grades a beating. It's hard to do well on math tests when you're falling asleep in the middle of them, you know. I'm glad I moved away from Stephanie. If I hadn't I never would have met Andrew and Liz. I miss both dearly. Who knew you could get to know two people so well in such a short time. I'm excited to see them both again.

Being back in East Jordan is, well, being back in East Jordan. It's woooonderful to be with the boyfriend again, but the rest of it is a little ho-hum-boring. I'm just excited for the move to lansing. The moving date is rapidly approaching. This makes me..nervous. I'm not sure if we're ready to move, yet, but we'll pull it off.

hm. I ignore livejournal becaues I have nothing important to say, I think.
hm.

[mood |exhaustedA break! Finally!]
[music |Sleeping in - The postal service.]

I've been pretty busy lately. Exams + extra studying to make up for the studying time I'm missing this weekend because sam's coming up + hanging out with the lizinator + aclu stuff = Less free time. And also, I haven't really been sleeping much. Which is fine other than the whole it makes time take FOREVER to go by thing.

I found our apartment in Lansing. That's right, I'm so cool that I can find an apartment 7 hours away AND have it be one of the best deals in town. Right now Jessie is living in it. She's leaving lansing in may, but her lease doesn't run up until december SO we are the lucky ones that get to sublease. It sounds really nice. It has a dishwasher, a garbage disposal, a full bathtub, and a huge closet. It also has a livingroom, Dining room, kitchen, and bedroom. AND it's about 100 bucks less than the average apartment in Lansing. AAAAAND it's near a bunch of businesses that are almost always hiring. SO. That is working out suprisingly well.

I found somewhere for the cat to stay until Sam gets here. Then back home I have a few people that will PROBABLY take it in until June when we move. Then it's my kitty again. I feel pretty happy about the whole cat situation. And the whole lansing situation. I guess I just want to fast forward to June. Right now it feels like I'm waiting for all the fun to really begin. Ah, well.

Kayla's Baby shower is this saturday. I'm pretty sad about having to miss it. I don't like baby showers, but Nick and Kayla will be amazing parents. In a year or so, I guess they'll be moving in with us. That will be amazing and fun. They're two of my favorite people in the world. I want some fabric, though because for their present I'm going to make Pheonix shirts for a few different ages. I'll just have to hurry on them once I'm home in may.

WELL. Break time over. Time to study. Baaaah. Actually. Not bah at all. Our test is over the high middle ages, which I find SO interesting.

ANYWAY.
That's all.

Such a good week.

I love when Rodney's around because I turn into the happiest person in the world....and the fullest. I ate so much this week. It was wonderful! Pizza. Thai. Subway. MMMMM.
But I don't just love him because he fills my stomach. It's because he's wonnnndddeeerful, too.

I am excited for spring break. It's only a week away. I'm such a nerd because I'm going to play this game that is like D&D but less stupid.
I think I'm going to throw up from all this thai but I can't stop eating it.

I got a thing from my ride that says she is leaving later than she was before. GRUMBLE! Jerrrremy are you leaving before 4 o'clock on friday? ... are you even leaving? OH WAIT NO! You're going to toronto, aren't you? Too bad.

Man! Stop eating, Tina! You're going to throw up!

MAN. I just want to fast forward. I want to play that stupid game. See, it's stupid. The only reason I'm excited is because I'm playing the coolest character ever. But our characters are based on ourselves. So in reality I'm just really cocky. And in the game I'm all mentally unstable and obsessed because rodney disappeared and i have to find him. What a mystery.

God. I feel disgusting. I'm going for a walk after this and that's that. Sorry stomach. I love you. I just love this thai more.
